SolidCAMCAD Standalone – CAM-system with embedded CAD-system (does not require pre-installed SolidWorks or another CAD-system) This system is a complete solution for automating metal-working production. Using the wide range of strategies offered by Turning, Milling, Turning, Milling and EDM, the technologist can quickly prepare the necessary set of control programs for machining the product.

SolidCAM Capabilities
2.5-Axis Milling
SolidCAM ensures high efficiency and precision in 2.5-axis milling of parts. It supports various machining strategies such as contouring, pocketing (with islands), and slotting, as well as different hole-making operations including drilling, reaming, tapping, and more. The system offers a wide range of 2.5-axis machining capabilities for analytical surfaces.

3-Axis Milling
SolidCAM provides a wide variety of tools that can be effectively used for machining complex geometry parts (such as dies and molds) as well as prismatic components. For 3-axis machining, the system uses 3D surface or solid models. It supports a broad set of roughing and finishing strategies, including raster machining with defined or automatically determined raster angles, equidistant machining, projection machining, waterline machining, and more.

In addition to the listed 2.5- and 3-axis capabilities, SolidCAM offers tools for detecting and re-machining areas that were not processed in previous operations. It allows the creation of databases of standard machining processes. Once defined, such a parameterized process can be reused multiple times, significantly reducing production preparation time, increasing the reliability of programs, unifying the style of technological workflows, ensuring the use of only optimal machining methods, and reducing dependency on human factors. Collision-free machining is guaranteed by built-in control and simulation tools.

Multi-Axis Machining
SolidCAM offers a variety of solutions for generating toolpaths for multi-axis machining on 4- and 5-axis machining centers. The model is positioned in a user-defined machining plane, after which the system automatically calculates all required offsets and rotations for part zeroing. As a result, setup time is significantly reduced, and machining accuracy is improved.

Turning and Mill-Turn Machining
SolidCAM provides a comprehensive set of functions for automating NC programming for turning and mill-turn machining. It supports a wide range of tools, enabling efficient operations such as longitudinal turning, facing, grooving, and more. Additionally, SolidCAM allows automatic roughing and finishing of complex contours. With support for driven tools, milling and drilling operations can also be performed on machining centers.

Wire EDM
SolidCAM offers a set of wire EDM strategies for machining external and internal contours with both constant and variable taper angles. 4-axis machining is supported. A special algorithm prevents the fall-off of cut material. SolidCAM also provides tools for controlling machining parameters along the entire wire path.
